Graphic Designer Intern IKEA

Please note that this is a non-paid academic internship for students looking to complete the Program requirements. 


The internship will commence in January or February with a minimum of 12 weeks.


As a Graphic Design & Communication intern, you will work closely with our Graphic Design Specialist and report to the Graphic Design Leader. 


You will be part of a creative and enthusiastic team that brings the IKEA voice to life through words, visuals, and videos. Together, we build the brand and inspire people with our offer.


Experience with graphic design software is required (e.g., Adobe Creative Suite). 


Passionate about the unique IKEA range and living by the IKEA culture and values 


Motivated by increasing customer value and thinking customer first 


Energized by contributing to overall success and results through visualizing the IKEA range in an appealing manner 


Passionate about understanding the behaviors of the many people, the local Life at Home and current Home Furnishing trends 


Motivated by finding new ways through co-creation with colleagues and other IKEA units 


Eager to learn more about the IKEA brand and operations, and gain experience in graphic communication. 


 A DAY IN YOUR LIFE WITH US 


 You will create market-specific communication solutions for various channels such as instore communication, content, and more. These are based on briefings from teams like Communication, Marketing, Sales, or Sustainability. 


You will design creative and high-quality graphic content that aligns with IKEA’s visual and verbal identity. 


You know how to use graphic design effectively in a commercial context, adding real value and creating a pleasant and inspiring customer experience. 


You ensure communication throughout the customer journey is relevant, visually appealing, and easy to understand. 


You work efficiently by using best practices to create inspiring and commercially strong communication. 


You plan and organize the production and rollout of your designs in a smart and practical way. 


You will be part of the HF&RD team (Home Furnishing & Retail Design) and actively contribute to shared plans and goals. 


You collaborate closely with colleagues across various domains ( from Digital and Customer Fulfilment to Communication, Sustainability, Finance, and HR ) to ensure alignment and maximize impact. 


You contribute to multichannel campaigns and executions that support our business goals. 


You monitor the performance of your work to understand what works and where improvements can be made. 


You help foster an open and collaborative work culture, live the IKEA values.
