archipelago – a growing architecture office based in Brussels, Leuven, Paris and Barcelona with a diverse portfolio of large-scale projects in Belgium and abroad.
Following our recent expansion and the current exploration of new markets, archipelago is looking for new talent that wants to contribute to the development of the office and join a diverse team of architects, engineers, interior architects, urban planners, researchers, sustainability consultants, graphic designers, BIM modelers, and many more.
We are looking for a talent who is passionate about architecture and values themes such as future-oriented and sustainable building, generative design, and user comfort.

Profile
Degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication or a related field.
At least 5 years of relevant professional experience, ideally including work for architecture, design or cultural institutions.
Excellent command of Adobe Creative Cloud (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop; knowledge of After Effects or other motion tools is a plus).
Knowledge of AI‑assisted image creation and layout tools, and architectural visualisation workflows is an asset.
Strong sense of typography, layout, composition and visual hierarchy.
Proven experience with editorial design and long-form documents (books, catalogues, reports, competition dossiers).
Able to think conceptually and translate abstract ideas into clear visual systems.
Comfortable working independently as a freelancer while being an active sparring partner for the internal team.
Precise, detail-oriented and quality-driven, with a strong design “eye”.
Good communication skills in English; knowledge of Dutch and/or French is an asset.
Function
Overseeing and supporting project storytelling, production of diagrams for competitions and external communication;
Analysing our graphical output and developing shared guidelines;
Monitoring market trends and emerging tools (including AI-driven workflows);
Curating our internal and external reference databases;
Contributing to graphical outputs (internal and external), including publications, booklets and internal guidelines to support knowledge sharing within Archipelago.
