Tomorrowland Design Studio is looking for a Studio Lead with a passion for hospitality.

In an unprecedented collaboration, global entertainment brand WEAREONE.world and esteemed architect Dieter Vander Velpen introduce Tomorrowland Design Studio, a design firm dedicated to transforming the ephemeral world of Tomorrowland into enduring, tangible spaces. This innovative studio marks a first in the festival world, bringing Tomorrowland’s unique essence into architecture and interior design under the creative direction of Dieter Vander Velpen.

We are looking for a Studio Lead who can take Tomorrowland Design Studio to the next level.

A strong people leader with an entrepreneurial mindset, strategic insight, and a passion for boundary‑pushing design. Someone who understands the creative DNA of Tomorrowland and is driven by one clear mission: to build Tomorrowland Design Studio into a strong, international design label.

A background in architecture is a significant plus, but above all, we are looking for someone who combines creativity, business sense, and project excellence.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Taking on a visible, key role in this new, exciting studio that is carving out its path in the design world. You are the face of the studio in business discussions and at international events.
Leading and motivating your multidisciplinary team, organizing schedules, and managing projects.
Positioning the studio strongly in the market, together with the marketing teams of Tomorrowland and external partners.
Developing a marketing strategy for product launches, campaigns, storytelling, and international growth.
Safeguarding the visual and commercial identity of the studio.
Developing and implementing the studio’s commercial strategy.
Identifying new business opportunities for products, projects, and brand collaborations.
Defining, in collaboration with key stakeholders, market positioning, pricing, distribution, and international growth plans.
Monitoring KPIs, performance, and the overall financial health of the studio.
Introducing structure, professional processes, and clear workflows.
Overseeing the efficient follow‑up of product development, production, and deliveries in collaboration with partners such as Ethnicraft.
Going through all phases of projects: helping define client needs (B2B; hospitality, luxury, retail and partnerships), conceptual design, design development, and project management.
Communicating directly with clients, partners, contractors, and suppliers to ensure projects run smoothly and on time.
Having a varied and engaging daily work experience, with travel and contact with the Tomorrowland team.
Working directly with our Antwerp-based office to design and manage projects in Belgium and abroad.

MUST-HAVES:

An excellent leader with at least 8–10 years of experience, preferably in large‑scale projects (in business development, marketing, brand building, or commercial leadership).
A master’s degree in architecture or a profile with relevant experience in all design phases.
Experience and a strong network in marketing and delivering branded venues, as well as setting them up, is a significant plus.
Beyond a passion for inspiring architectural projects, you have the drive to further develop and expand the interior and product development department.
A quick, creative thinker with clear opinions, who easily switches between projects and is not easily thrown off balance.
Strategic and hands‑on: able to define a clear vision and execute it effectively.
Strong in stakeholder management, partnerships, and international growth.
Someone with an affinity for design, high quality, and aesthetics.
Someone with commercial flair, a natural networking attitude, and an entrepreneurial mindset.
Well‑organized: planning, managing schedules, and keeping an overview all sound like music to your ears.
Proficient in SketchUp, AutoCAD/Vectorworks. Knowledge of Vray is a plus.
A team player with clear communication skills who can work closely with other team members.
Fluent in English, preferably also in Dutch.
Experienced in all project phases and skilled in supervising construction sites.
