To support SMART Toys and Games' continued growth, we are looking for a Freelance creative Graphic Designer to strengthen our HQ creative studio. You will join a renowned Belgian toys and games company that operates internationally. We offer a challenging position with broad responsibilities in a very exciting sector.

As a Freelance Graphic Designer, you will be part of a passionate team of eight designers and illustrators, each bringing their own expertise to the table. Together, you'll help bring new products, categories, and brands to life. Our studio is a vibrant environment centered on creativity, collaboration, and innovation and is the creative engine behind a range of unique, industry-leading products recognized worldwide.

Role Overview

A Graphic Designer at SMART Toys and Games (SmartGames, SmartMax, Quut Toys, and more) is responsible for creating compelling visual experiences across a wide range of touchpoints. From packaging design and point-of-sale materials to digital content, social media, and brand campaigns, you will help shape how consumers discover, experience, and connect with our products.

No two days are the same. One day you might be designing packaging for a new game, the next you could be developing an event activation, creating digital assets for an international campaign, or helping define the visual world of an entirely new brand.

This role is ideal for a designer with a broad skill set, a strong conceptual mindset, and a passion for creating engaging worlds around products and play experiences.

What you'll do

• Create and develop visual identities that bring products and brands to life

• Build and maintain visual design systems across our portfolio of brands

• Design packaging for new products

• Design point-of-sale materials and in-store communication that drive visibility and engagement

• Develop event and trade show marketing assets

• Create engaging visual content for social media, digital campaigns, websites, and online advertising

• Help create visual worlds and storytelling through design around our games, toys, and brands

• Support the creation of new products, categories, and brands from concept to launch

Who you are

• You are a strong all-round graphic designer with a broad range of creative skills

• You have a strong conceptual mindset

• You have experience with branding, digital content, and print communication, packaging is a plus

• You work daily with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign)

• You stay informed about current design trends, technologies, and best practices

• You thrive in a dynamic environment and enjoy working on multiple projects simultaneously

• You are well-organized, proactive, and capable of managing multiple deadlines

• You enjoy the freedom to take ownership of your projects while also loving the energy of collaborating and sharing ideas with your team

This freelance role is based at our HQ in Kontich (Antwerp) and is project based.
